The country has seen a surge in new cases of coronavirus for the last three days.
The second wave of coronavirus in India has come under control, but fears about the third wave remain. Meanwhile, the Head of the Department of Medicine of AIIMS (AIIMS) has given some special tips and said that by following them, the third wave of COVID-19 can be prevented.
Dr Naveet Wig, Head of the Department of Medicine of AIIMS, said, "The third wave of Covid-19 will not come if we adopt the policy of lock and unlock. Along with this, the rate of infection has to be kept below one per cent." He further said, "If 100 per cent vaccination is done in villages and cities, the third wave will not arrive."
There is a surge in new cases of coronavirus for the last three days. According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health, in the last 24 hours, 48,786 people have come under the grip of the virus across the country, while 991 people have lost their lives. On June 29, the cases had reached below 40,000 and 37,566 people were infected, while on Wednesday i.e. on June 30, it climbed to 45,951.
As per the government data, 3,04,11,634 people have been infected with coronavirus across the country so far, out of which, 3,99,459 people have lost their lives and 2,94,88,918 people have recovered. There are of 5,23,257 active COVID-19 cases across the country.
So far, 33,57,16,019 doses of the coronavirus vaccine have been administered across the country. A total of 27,60,99,880 people have been received the first dose of the vaccine, while 5,96,16,139 people have taken both doses.
