The AIADMK has accused the Congress government here of having been `slack and virtually inactive for months together' in initiating steps to check residences let out to foreign tourists to ascertain bonafides of the occupants.Talking to reporters today, AIADMK's local unit secretary, A Anbalagan  said the government machinery was being active only after the Union home ministry issued a warning to the territorial government about a possible`terror strike` Police should check the premises and ensure bonafides of the occupants.  Puducherry being dependent mostly on tourism sector there should be surveillance of people visiting from abroad, he said.
