In an attempt to increase crime awareness among masses, city-based NGO Lok Rakshak Sewa Samiti has filmed a 20-minute documentary highlighting major crimes in the city.

Titled Help & Save Me, the film talks of the modus operandi of chain-snatchers, fake police and gangs involved in kidnapping of kids. 10,000 copies of this movie will be distributed to city folk.   

According to Prithvi Bhatt, president of Lok Rakshak Sewa Samiti, the film will be broadcast on local TV channels as well.

"As part of our 45-day awareness campaign, we will distribute free CDs to people in the city. More than 10 lakh pamphlets will be distributed at temples, gardens, societies, and other public spaces," said Bhatt in a press meet Thursday. The film also showcases tactics to avoid being victim of such crimes. "Over 500 volunteers will meet more than one lakh citizens and tell them about such crimes. They will also give them ideas to counter such crimes," added Bhatt.
