The members of Ahmedabad Municipal School Board have received around 110% increment in their allowances. The members have already started receiving the honorarium and allowances at revised rates. However, the proposal has been placed on the agenda of the standing committee meeting to be held on May 20.

Up till now the members of Ahmedabad Municipal School Board, education body of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, used to get Rs1000 per month towards honorarium, which has now been increased to Rs2500 per month i.e. a hike of around 150%.

Moreover, they were paid Rs70 per meeting with maximum allowance limit of Rs350 per month, which has now been increased to Rs100 per meeting and maximum limit has been fixed at Rs500.

Besides, the phone bill limit has also been increased by Rs100 per month from Rs400 to Rs500. The members have also started getting additional allowance for stationary. The board has decided to pay Rs250 to the members towards stationary allowance.

It should also be noted that around six months ago, the honorarium and allowances of members of Ahmedabad Municipal Transport service were also increased.
