“There is calm on the LoC,” Lt Col Rajesh Kalia, defence spokesman at Northern Command headquarters in Udhampur, told DNA.
The hostilities had started after Pakistani army crossed the LoC and killed Lance Naik Hemraj and Lance Naik Sudhakar Singh of 13 Rajputana Riffles at Mendhar on January 8. Despite eerie calm on the LoC, the army is maintaining highest level of vigil and alertness to deal with any exigency.
