AHMEDABAD: Leader of Opposition LK Advani on Sunday visited the Civil Hospital here and met those injured in the serial bombings here.

Arriving here in the afternoon, the senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader met Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, Minister of State for Home Amit Shah and the party's state president Purshottam Rupala and discussed the situation after Saturday's  serial blasts.

He later visited the Civil Hosiptal, Gujarat's largest hospital where most of those injured in the blasts were admitted.

In the Lok Sabha, Advani represents the Gandhinagar constituency which includes parts of Ahmedabad.

As many as 20 bomb blasts in a span of 70 minutes claimed at least 45 lives and injured more than 100 people.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Home Minister Shivraj Patil will visit the city Monday.
