One of the accused is among the seven Railway Board members and another retired recently from the Board.

The NCW has given 15 days to the Chairman to take action in the matter and report to the women's panel failing which it has threatened "proceedings".

"I request you to kindly take appropriate action as per the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, Redressal) Act, 2013 and the Criminal Law (Amendment) Act, 2013 and report within 15 days, failing which the Commission will be forced to initiate proceedings," according to a letter, dated February 6.

The charges pertain to a complaint filed with NCW in August, 2014. However, the letter from NCW notes that despite four notices sent in the past three years, there has been no response from the Railway Board on the matter.
