Amidst the slugfest over the alleged suicide of a Rajasthan farmer at an AAP rally, the state Cabinet on Tuesday cleared the three decisions made by the AAP government including naming a scheme after the deceased farmer, Gajendra Singh.

After facing flak over the incident, the Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government had decided to name a scheme for providing compensation to farmers after Gajendra Singh. The AAP government had also accepted both the demands of the late farmer's family to offer a job to one of the family members and to treat his death as martyrdom.

The government's announcement had come after the chief minister met the deceased farmer's brother. Chief minister Kejriwal had also promised to provide a job to any child of the family after he or she attains the age of 18.Gajendra Singh hanged himself from a tree during an AAP rally at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on April 22. The deceased farmer was protesting against the Central government's land ordinance bill.
