Speaking to a news channel, Bhushan questioned Kejriwal's organisational skills, saying that there is no internal democracy in the party. Bhushan said, "Kejriwal lacks the ability to manage party affairs at the national level. Under his leadership, the party failed to expand across India."

Shanti Bhushan is considered a mentor within the AAP and has been associated with Kejriwal ever since the formation of the party.

Sparking open differences within the party, Bhushan advised Kejriwal to consult other leaders on important issues and to assign organisational work to some one else who has the time. However, despite ridiculing Kejriwal's organisational skills, Bhushan asserted that he is the right person to be the face of AAP and should remain the main campaigner.

Meanwhile, speaking to a news channel, AAP volunteer Karan Singh agreed with Bhushan's views. Singh said that due to inefficient management skills, the party performed so badly in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections.

Leaders from other parties as well took the opportunity to criticise Kejriwal.

Congress leader Mukesh Sharma said, "There has never been a greedier politician in the history of Indian politics than Kejriwal."

"Arvind Kejriwal failed the day he ran away from Chief Minister's chair and now Shanti Bhushan is also realising," said BJP's Srikant Sharma.

Former AAP member Vinod Kumar Binny said," If such an experienced and senior leader like Shanti Bhushan is saying this, then it's very serious and Kejriwal should resign."
