BJP on Wednesday claimed that Congress by reportedly contemplating to join hands with the Aam Aadmi Party was planning to checkmate his party.

BJP national General Secretary Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi made the claim that Congress General Secretary Shakeel Ahmad's statement that Congress MLAs can consider supporting AAP in forming a government in Delhi.

Both the parties-- AAP and Congress-- are worried about BJP's prospects in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, Naqvi said, terming the AAP a "by-product" of Congress.

He congratulated Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar, Congress senior leader Mani Shankar Aiyar and others for their views after the Assembly elections.
