On Friday, the Indian National’s Congress handle tweeted out a tribute to evergreen Bollywood singer, the late Kishore Kumar on his death anniversary. They wrote on Twitter: “We pay tribute to Kishore Da, the voice of almost every Bollywood hero for over two decades, on his death anniversary.”

However, Twitterati, who seldom forget, were quick to point out Congress’ tumultuous relationship with the Bollywood singer.

In fact, Kumar had been banned during Indira Gandhi’s Emergency by Indira Gandhi’s I&B Minister VC Shukla.
