Claiming that India will become ‘Hindu Rashtra’ by 2024, a BJP MLA from Ballia in Uttar Pradesh Surendra Singh  has upped the ante saying only patriotic Muslims adopting Hindu culture will be allowed to stay back in the country and rest may leave India.

Surendra Singh had earlier also issued controversial statement against members of the minority community questioning their loyalty and patriotism. “There are only few Muslims who are patriotic and can be trusted. Once India becomes Hindu Rashtra, Muslims who adopt Hindu culture will stay in the country and remaining will be free to migrate to other countries,” he said while talking to media.

Singh claimed that India will become ‘superwpower’ and a ‘Hindu Rashtra’ under Prime Minister Natendra Modi and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He described Prime Minister as ‘avtaar purush’ (reincarnation of  God) who will make India ‘Vishwa Guru’ (world leader). Singh predicted that even before RSS completes 100 years, India will become Hindu Rashtra and a world leader. “As RSS completes 100 years in 2025, India will become Hindu Rashtra by 2024 only. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, India will become a super power and world leader,” he predicted.

The controversial BJP MLA also took a jibe at the AICC President Rahul Gandhi saying that he lacks Indian culture and values and can never make the country a strong nation.  “He (Rahul) inculcated two sets of values – Italian and Indian -- and is a mix of Indian and Italian culture. He has little knowledge about Hindu culture and lacks both strength and values to make the country strong and lead its people,” charged Singh.

The BJP MLA from Bairia had shot into limelight when he created a controversy  in August 2017 after questioning recruitment of Muslims into the Indian Army. “They cannot be trusted as they have no loyalty towards India. Once they are recruited into the Army, they owe their loyalty to Pakistan instead on India,” he had alleged. Singh had sought a thorough probe into functioning of madrasas in the country alleging that majority of them are breeding ground for churning out terrorists. “We respect only patriotic Muslims but those who are not loyal to country have no right to stay back India. They should leave and live in other countries,” he had stated earlier.

Singh had issued these controversial statements when the another BJP MLA from Sardhana Sangeet Som created a stir by issuing statement against world famous monument Taj Mahal and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had to visit Agra to end the controversy.

BJP has distanced itself from his statement. “We have not seen his statement yet. It may be his personal opinion not the party line,” stated BJP State General Secretary Vijay Bahadur Pathak.
