The Jammu and Kashmir government today said that as many as 56 villages including 18 mohallas in the Anantnag district of South Kashmir were worst affected by last week's flood.
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary Mohd. Iqbal Khanday and Director General of Police K Rajindra today visited the district to take stock of the relief and rehabilitation work.
During a meeting with the officials, the chief secretary was informed that 318 tents have been installed, 3,700 blankets and more than 150 quintals of rice distributed among the affected people.
