Five tons of poppy skin, an ingredient used to make heroin, was seized and two persons were arrested in this connection, at Rothbari near Malda, police said. Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted a truck on NH 24 and seized the contraband, Additional superintendent of police (rural) Deepak Sarkar said. The poppy skin has a market value of Rs 10 lakh, he said adding two persons, who hailed from Uttar Pradesh and Malda respectively, were arrested. P
