The Haryana police have named 43 people including Dera Sacha Sauda chief Ram Rahim's adopted daughter Honeypreet Insan as wanted in Panchkula rioting case.

"The Following accused is wanted regarding violence in Panchkula on August 25. The identity of those giving information leading to their arrest will be kept secret," reads the message posted on Haryana police site.

The wanted list also consists photographs of all the 43 accused. The police have also given a mobile number, WhatsApp number, and email id to provide information about the accused.

Violence broke out in Panchkula after the Dera chief's conviction, leaving 35 dead, while six others were killed in incidents in Sirsa.

The 50-year-old Dera chief, who is lodged in the Sunaria Jail in Rohtak, had been sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment by the CBI court for the 2002 rapes of two of his disciples.

 

Meanwhile, the police have made two fresh arrests in connection with incidents of violence which broke out on August 25 in Panchkula after sect chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was convicted in a rape case.

Efforts are also on to trace the Dera chief's adopted daughter Honeypreet Insan and Dera spokesman Aditya Insan, against whom a lookout notice was issued earlier.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Haryana Police also arrested three Dera Sacha Sauda (DSS) followers for hatching conspiracy to help Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh escape from Panchkula, during the agitation on August 25.
