On a tip-off, a police team from Nawabad police station yesterday laid a checkpoint at Paloura and intercepted a van.
During the checking of the van, 4 kg of heroin was found along with Rs 5 lakh cash, Senior Superintendent of police (SSP) Jammu, Uttam Chand said.
He said the four persons arrested have been identified as Ved Parkash, Jasvinder Kumar, Mohammad Farooq, and Sandeep Kumar.
A case under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Nawabad police station, the SSP said.
The police was also investigating the genuineness of the currency notes seized, he said.
