Four students were caught cheating in the city on the day two of the state board exams. The students were appearing for their social studies and philosophy papers for class X and XII (general stream) respectively. At Rambadi High School, Paldi, a student of Satyam High School was caught by the vigilance squad. Again at Dr CG High School, Sardarnagar, another student was caught while trying to copy the answers from a chit. Both the class X students were appearing for their social studies paper. In class XII, the vigilance team nabbed a student at Amar Jyoti High School, Meghaninagar and another at Gandhi Vidyalaya, Asarva.  Both students were appearing for their philosophy paper.Some 3,266 students in the city appeared for the philosophy paper while some 50,372 students appeared for the social studies paper of class X. On the first day, 55 cases of malpractices were registered across the state, excluding Ahmedabad.
