The Dera followers had permission for the religious congregation, 'Naam Charcha', a senior police official said.

Towards the end of the programme, several people ostensibly owing allegiance to a so-called radical Sikh organisation, 'Ek Noor Khalsa Force', arrived there leading to a scuffle between the two groups, SSP Ferozepur Gaurav Garg said.

However, police prevented the situation from taking an ugly turn, he said.

On the basis of a complaint lodged by Dera followers, 37 people have been booked, the officer said adding no one has been arrested yet.
