A 35-year-old widow was allegedly robbed, abducted and gangraped in Madhya Pradesh, police said on Monday.
While the woman was standing with a companion at Sironja near the forest depot in Sagar town on Saturday evening, some men came in a car, halted the vehicle near her and fired in air.
They then robbed her of Rs 1,000 and snatched Rs 2,200 from her companion, police said.
The men then forced the woman at gun-point to sit in the car and later they allegedly raped her.
The victim was found later near the Makronia SAF battalion.
Police arrested four men - Mukesh Kunchbandia, Devi Singh Rajput, Azad Ahirwar and Arun Ahirwar - yesterday for abducting and raping the woman and also impounded the car.
The victim, belonging to a Scheduled Caste, works in a government department and had come here to meet some officials regarding payment of her salary, police added.
