The hearing on the bail plea of former telecom secretary Siddhartha Behura, arrested along with former telecom minister A Raja for their role in the second generation mobile spectrum allocation scam, was deferred by a Delhi court today to March 15.Special CBI judge OP Saini deferred the hearing on Behura's counsel request to hear his bail plea on March 15 when the court is also slated to adjudicate his plea to defreeze his bank account frozen by CBI after his arrest. On February 28, CBI had opposed the bail plea on the ground that some crucial documents of a telecom firm, given to the department of telecom for allocation of 2G spectrum to it and which form crucial evidence in the scam, has gone missing from the department.Behura, Raja and the latter's personal secretary RK Chandolia had been arrested for allegedly misusing their official positions in allocating spectrum licences to various ineligible telecom operators.
