27-year-old man murdered in Aslali

A 27-year-old man was stabbed to death in Aslali area on Thursday morning.

The motive behind the killing has not yet been ascertained.

However, police believe that the culprits are likely to be persons who know the victims.

According to Aslali police station, Ashwin Parmar, 27, resident of Indiranagar was killed some time before 9 o'clock on Thursday night. He was stabbed in the neck which resulted in his death, police said.

Sources said that Parmar was living alone in his house after his wife left him. There had been disagreements between the two which had caused their separation. The couple used to fight with each other, probably, because of Parmar's drinking habits.

Police said that Parmar had become an alcoholic over time. They said that it seems the victim had a brawl with his friends before he was killed. However, the cops have sent the body for autopsy and are waiting for the results.

The complaint was lodged by one Jagdish Parmar, resident of Rashmi apartment, Vejalpur, who is said to be a relative of the victim.
