VADODARA: The 26/11 terror attack on Mumbai will not deter Jews from coming to the country, Israeli consul general Orva Sagiv said on Tuesday.

Sagiv, who was in the city for the inauguration of an Israeli film festival, said that Israeli Jews would continue coming to the country and Nariman House or Chabad House, the community's outreach centre would continue to provide its services once it "gets back on its feet."

The Nariman House was one of the three places in Mumbai where terrorists were holed up during the three-day seige. Six persons including Rabbi Gavriel Holtzberg and his wife Rivka were killed by terrorists in the building. The Rabbi's son and his nanny escaped alive.

The process of renovation and rebuilding of the Nariman House had begun and would be completed in due course, Sagiv added.
