23-year-old youth wanted in robbery cases arrested in Delhi

A 23-year-old man, wanted in several cases of robbery, was arrested in west Delhi, police said on Sunday.The arrested has been identified as Amit Malik, who is declared a proclaimed offender by a local court. He was arrested from Raghubir Nagar on a tip off.He was allegedly involved in at least seven cases of robbery, murder, and dacoity, V Renganathan, deputy commissioner of police (West), said."His family members are indulging in boot legging but Amit wanted to do something different so that he can earn quick and fast money in a short span of time. In 2008, he came in contact with Phool Singh and Manny who were from his in-laws side and were associates of robber Joginder alias Joga. He joined the gang," he said.
