The Election Commission on Sunday said it has made provisions for 21 special polling stations in Jammu district to enable Kashmiri migrants to cast their votes in the upcoming assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.

"To facilitate voting by the Kashmiri Migrant voters, 21 special polling stations will be set up in Jammu district. The migrants who wish to cast their votes shall have to fill 'M form' and give choice of polling station at which they wish to cast their vote," assistant returning officer of Jammu Sachan Dev Singh told reporters.

He said provisions would be made for the Kashmiri migrants to get 'M form', which they have to submit before being enrolled as migrant voters who can cast their votes in the special polling stations.

"Kashmiri migrant voters who wish to cast their votes through postal ballots may fill in 'Form 12-C' and submit it in the office of ARO (Migrants) Jammu, Udhampur and Delhi so that the postal ballots are dispatched to their addresses," he said.
