At least 15 juveniles in a Dhanbad remand home were have been taken ill after eating
allegedly lizard-laced vegetable for dinner.

The Dhanbad civil surgeon, Dr U P Singh, who attended the patients, said the inmates felt uneasy after the eating the vegetable last night, but were out of danger now. The civil surgeon said that eight juveniles out of 15 were administered injections and saline to control vomitting.

Meanwhile, the district and session judge Ambujnath, Dhanbad SDM Georgre Kumar and deputy superintendent of police Sanjay Ranjan visited the remand home. They said the juveniles might have played mischievious and a probe has been ordered.
