Eleven new cases of influenza A (H1N1) were reported in the country on Monday, taking the total to 104. Union health minister Ghulam Nabi Azad said 61 of the 104 patients had been discharged from hospitals after recovery.

“The ministries of external affairs and civil aviation have been advised to alert our missions abroad and international airlines to facilitate exit screenings from respective countries,” the minister said.

From July 1, Azad said, announcements would be made on all international flights coming to India about anyone suffering from H1N1-like symptoms. —Agencies
