A court here today sentenced all the nine accused in a 2011 murder case of the husband of a former sarpanch (village head) to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment.

The additional sessions judge, Neem Ka Thana, sentenced Madan alias Manoj and eight others to 10 years in jail in the murder case of Bhagwanaram Gurjar, the husband of the then Narda village sarpanch, said lawyer Satyanarayan Saini.

On June 9, 2011, the accused had killed Gurjar while he was asleep at his farm.

A case against the accused was registered at the Patan police station.
