1.On demonetization

2.On Mahagatbandhan
The Mahagathbandhan is all like-minded parties coming together on one platform. It is indeed very difficult, and we are looking at strategic alliances, specific to states. In Uttar Pradesh, we have an alliance of all Opposition parties, while in Bihar, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu, there are alliances in place. We have to decide in West Bengal. We need to get everyone on board. For instance, Mamata Banerjee will not have any interest in UP.

3.On 2019 elections
Congress will stand for the value system of this country, that’s the message that we must send. We do not want the 2019 elections to be about caste politics.

4.On Aadhaar
NDA’s concept of Aadhaar is entirely different from what was projected by the UPA. Every user’s data is now stored on the Central server, and the private sector is allowed to use the data. So, if I take a train to somewhere, the authorities will know where I am going. That was never the concept.

I’ve always maintained that the trouble in the 2G case started with the CAG report. The question of notional loss is all bunkum. I was ultimately proved right. If there are any individuals who have acted in contrary to the law, then they need to be dealt with.
