Complaint registered against Tiktok 'celebrities' for allegedly making video asking for retaliation for Tabrez lynching

The video soon was posted on other social media including Twitter where the uploaders were criticised for creating hatred and animosity.

A video in relation to the alleged lynching of Tabrez, has landed five Tiktok users in trouble. Shiv Sena activist Ramesh Solanki has registered a complaint against five Tiktok users who have a combine following that of 4 crore people.

The video was uploaded on the social media app Tiktok by Faisu, Hasnain, Faiz and Sadhan (Saddu). In two videos the whole gang that goes with the name 'Team 07' is seen enacting a message that says, "Innocent Tabrez was killed, but if Tabrez's son grows up and takes revenge then Muslims shouldn't be termed as terrorists." 

The video soon was posted on other social media including Twitter where the uploaders were criticised for creating hatred and animosity. There were many on twitter who asked Police to take action.

Solanki says that the taking down of video is no big deal and instead my demand is that these people be banned, their accounts suspended. The videos within hours had received lakhs of like and had thousands of comments on it, before they were taken down.

"TikTok has zero tolerance for content that incites violence against other users or any content that violates its Community Guidelines. In line with this, the video in question, which has violated our Community Guidelines, is no longer available on TikTok. Such irresponsible acts will not be tolerated on our platform, hence we have suspended three user accounts and are cooperating with law enforcement agencies. The three user accounts belonged to Hasnain Khan, Faisal Shaikh and Sadhan Faroqui,” Tiktok said in a statement.

The complaint has been filed against Faisal Shaikh, Hasnain Khan, Adnan Shaikh, Faiz Baloch and Sadhan Farouqi.

 

The complainant has mentioned that the video uploaded is divisive, inflammatory and an incitement to violence. These are the biggest Tiktok celebrities in the country, where Faisal who goes with the name Mr Faisu has a following over 24 million.

Shiv Sena IT Cell core committee member Ramesh Solanki on Monday approached the LT Marg Police station in Mumbai and submitted his complaint against the Tik Tok user who uploaded a controversial video.

 

When contacted Solanki, he said, "The videos divisive, the users who uploaded the video were asking others to take revenge, this is asking people to get violent. We shouldn't tolerate such form of violence."

Santosh R, Senior Police Inspector of LT Marg Police Station, where Solanki filed the complaint said, "We have received a complaint, and are yet to decide to further course on the complaint."

On Twitter while replying to one of the tweets that had asked Tiktok to take down the video, a twitter handle Tiktok_IN said, "This video violated our community guidelines and is no longer available on TikTok. We will continue to take appropriate action against any such videos on TikTok."
