After a string of politicians made sexist comments on Priyanka Gandhi, her own party member joined the 'controversial comment' bandwagon.
There has been a lot of controversy over some the 'sexist and misogyny-laden' comments made by some politicians, including many BJP leaders, on Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi. However, it seems that Congress now have had a foot-in-the-mouth moment of their own. After leaders like Kailash Vijayvargiya and Vinod Narayan Jha made comments about Priyanka, Madhya Pradesh minister Sajjan Singh Verma said that it was BJP's bad luck that did not have someone as beautiful in their party. He went on say that BJP has one beautiful face in Hema Malini and they keep using her to earn some votes.
Priyanka Gandhi will take charge of her responsibility as an AICC General Secretary from the first week of February.

"BJP is unlucky that they do not have someone as beautiful as Priyanka Gandhi in their party. They have one Hema Malini and they keep using her to do classical dance across the country to earn some votes."
This is what Congress leader and Madhya Pradesh minister Sajjan Singh Verma said, when asked about BJP’s reactions to Priyanka Gandhi’s political plunge.
2. 'Chocolate face' term meant for Bollywood actors: Vijayvargiya

After triggering a major political controversy by making ‘chocolaty face’ remark, Senior BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya on Sunday chose to offer a clarification that his comment was directed towards Bollywood actors, and not against any political leader.
“I would like to tell my friends in media that if there is such a statement, then they should cross check it. I used the term ‘chocolaty’ face for Bollywood actors. I did not use it for any political leader,” he said.
Taking a dig at the Congress party for appointing Priyanka Gandhi as a General Secretary and in-charge for the party affairs for eastern Uttar Pradesh for the coming Lok Sabha elections, Vijayvargiya on Saturday had said: “This shows the dearth of self-confidence in them.”
“They don’t have any leader. That is why they want to contest the coming elections by banking on chocolaty faces. Somebody takes Kareena Kapoor’s name while others ask for Salman Khan. Now they have brought in Priyanka Gandhi,” he said.
3. Bihar minister faces flak for his comments

Bihar Minister Vinod Narayan Jha has been panned by women's rights groups for his misogynistic and sexist remarks on newly inducted Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, whom he called "just a beautiful face."
"She is very beautiful but other than that she holds no political achievement,” he had said.
4. Priyanka Gandhi beats up people: Subramanian Swamy

In the latest addition to the long list of his sensational and controversial claims, Bharatiya Janata Party MP Subramanian Swamy said that Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi is bipolar and that she beats up people.
"She has a disorder of bipolarity. She beats up people. Her ailment does not make her fit to lead a public life. The public should know when she is likely to lose mental balance," he said in Hindi as he spoke with ANI.
