"Towards a happily ever after with Nikhil Jain," she captioned the picture.

Clad in a traditional red bridal lehenga, the actor looked graceful, while the groom looked dapper in a light pink sherwani.

The wedding celebrations which took place in the Turkish town of Bodrum were attended by close friends and family.

Jahan and her friend and actor Mimi Chakraborty took the political plunge this year and won from Basirhat and Jadavpur parliamentary constituencies, respectively.

The Trinamool MPs couldn't take their oath as members of the 17th Lok Sabha because they were engaged in wedding preparations in Turkey.

While for a long time there were rumours about who Nusrat Jahan is dating, the actress confirmed her relationship status two weeks ago.

While destination weddings are common in Bollywood with likes of Ranveer-Deepika, Virat=Anushka opting for it, it is relatively rare in the Bengali film industry. In fact, this is the first Tollywood celeb wedding happening so far away in Turkey.

Interestingly, Nusrat and Nikhil met only late last year during Durga Puja when the actress was shooting for a saree ad. But as fate has it, now the two love birds are looking for a life of togetherness after few months of being in a relationship.

It is likely that Nusrat will be also hosting a reception party in India after coming back from Turkey.

The actor and her friend fellow TMC MP Mimi Chakrabarty missed the oath-taking ceremony in Parliament.
