1.Total Votes
The BJP got 1,56,42, 980 votes compared to 1,55,95,153 votes polled by Congress, a difference of just 47,817 case. NOTA on the other hand got 5,42,295 votes.
14 assembly seats were decided with a victory of less than 2000 votes, nine of them being won by the Congress.
2.Vote Share
While the Congress won 114 seats with 40.9% vote share, BJP won 109 seats with 41% vote-share, meaning that it actually got more votes. That is however, not that strange as we follow a first-past-the-post system and even Hillary Clinton had more votes than Donald Trump in the 2016 US Presidential Elections (where they follow an electoral college system for Presidential Electiosn)
3.Lowest in Gwalior South
The victory margin was the lowest at Gwalior South where Praveen Pathak won by 121 votes against BJP MLA Narayan Singh Kushwah. In Suswara, Congress retained its seat by 350 votes. Four of the low-margin seats went to BJP.
