'Selected vs Elected': Twitterati compare reception received by Imran Khan, PM Modi in US

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached the US and Twitter has already started making comparisons between the recertion they received in the United States.

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached the United States and Twitter has already started making comparisons between the reception they received in the US.

One Twitter user promptly pointed out that PM Modi was received by Director of Trade and International Affairs, Christopher Olson, US Ambassador to India Kenneth Juster, and other officials at the airport while Khan was received by Pakistan's UN Ambassador Maleeha Lodhi. He was alluding to the fact that no representatives from the US administration were there to welcome Imran Khan.

US Ambassador to India Kenneth Juster," pointed out.", a Twitter user stated while sharing videos of both Prime Ministers being welcomed in the United States.

 Twitterati saw this as an opportunity to troll the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Imran Khan on Saturday left for New York from Saudi Arabia to participate in the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Khan's address in the United Nations will focus on the issue of Kashmir.

Addressing media, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said, "Prime Minister Imran Khan has reached the US. The seven-day visit is aimed at drawing the attention of the world towards what is happening in Kashmir."

While on his visit to the United States, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will focus on his country's contribution to development, peace, and security fronts as a responsible member of the global body. 

He will address the UN General Assembly on Friday.

Earlier today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a round table meeting with the CEOs from the energy sector at Hotel Post Oak in Houston city and discussed ways to harness opportunities in the energy sector and expanding mutual investment opportunities.

Narendra Modi will also attend the 'Howdy, Modi!' event later today in Houston which will witness Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Trump, sharing a stage before the largest gathering ever -- over 50,000 Indian-Americans -- for an elected foreign leader visiting the US.

The summit, with the theme of "Shared Dreams, Bright Futures" will highlight the contributions of Indian-Americans in enriching the American life for the last seven decades as well as the key role they have played in strengthening relations between the two nations.

Apart from this, Narendra Modi will attend a plethora of events to strengthen diplomatic ties with the United States of America.

 Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan reached the US on Saturday on a "special aircraft" of Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammad bin Salman.
Dunya News quoting sources said Khan was barred from using a commercial flight by the Saudi Crown Prince, who said: "You are our special guest and you would be going to the US on my special aircraft."

Before arriving in the US, Khan was on a two-day visit to Saudi Arabia to muster support from the Islamic nation on the Kashmir issue.

In Saudi Arabia, Khan met King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and discussed Kashmir apart from trade, investment, and economic relations.
