Vasundhara Raje bites the dust.
Nearly twelve hours and counting and Rajasthan looks to be heading for a narrow Congress win. With BSP, SP and some rebel Congress MLAs winning, the grand old party looks all set to come back to power in Jaipur.
Congress is ahead but BJP isn't going down without a fight. The independents may play a major factor if Congress falls just short of a majority. It is currently set to win 99 seats, one short of the magic figure. Sources indicate that Ashok Gehlot is again likely to be the Chief Minister of Rajasthan if Congress finally manages to get the numbers.

Live updates:
Vasundhara Raje resigns
Congress has won 65 seats and is ahead in 34. BJP has won 47 and are ahead in 27 seats. LOP Rameshswar Dudi has lost, among the notables.
In Rajasthan, BJP got 45.2% votes in the last Assembly polls and Congress got 33.1% votes. That lead to Congress getting decimated winning only 21 seats in the 200 member assembly. Compared to that, this is a stunning turnaround. Congress have won 39/2% votes so far, followed by BJP which has got 38/6% votes so far.
It seems like it is a done deal for Congress in Rajasthan. They are ahead in 99, and have won in 4 seats already. If the trends persist, Congress will form the next government in the state.
