Parakram Parv: Indian Army celebrates second anniversary of surgical strikes - see pics
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated on Friday the Parakram Parv exhibition at the military station in Jodhpur to mark the second anniversary of the surgical strikes carried out by the Army across the LoC.

2.Parakram Parv exhibition at India Gate
A large number of people thronged the exhibition at India Gate in New Delhi, which was inaugurated on Friday by Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to mark the second anniversary of the 2016 'surgical strikes'.
Nawaz Khan (18), a student, said the exhibition was very interesting as it showcased some fascinating weapons and the valour of the armed forces. An Army jawan, who was explaining to people how a rocket launcher works, said the exhibition has seen a good footfall and people are curious to know about the defence forces.

3.‘Know Your Army’ mela was organised at Dipatoli, Jharkhand on the occasion of Parakram Parv
To commemorate Parakram Parv ‘Know Your Army’ mela was organised at Dipatoli in Jharkhand. The event was witnessed by approximate 2300 students. Parakram Parv To showcase the courage, valour and sacrifice of Armed Forces, ‘Parakram Parv’ is being observed from 28-30 September 2018.

4.‘Know Your Army’ mela was organised at Bangalore
Events highlighting the valour of the Indian Armed Forces are being showcased across the country. The Indian Army has organised ‘Know Your Army’ mela at several places which have witnessed huge footfall. On September 29, 2016, the Indian Army carried out surgical strikes on seven terrorist launch pads in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir as a response to an attack on its base in Uri earlier that month.

6.Parakram Parv exhibition in Kochi
A Parakram Parv exhibition was inaugurated by Southern Naval Command Chief of Staff Rear Admiral R J Nadkarni in Kochi on Friday. The exhibition being organised at the Lulu Mall has a static display of various ship and aircraft, mannequins of divers, as well as naval equipment with guides to explain the role and function of each to the visitors.
