Bihar Governor Satya Pal Malik has been transferred to Jammu and Kashmir and he will replace N N Vohra, according to a Rashtrapati Bhavan communique today.

Senior BJP leader Lal Ji Tandon has been appointed as the Governor of Bihar replacing Malik, and Satyadev Narayan Arya will be the new Governor of Haryana, it said.

Baby Rani Maurya will be the new Governor of Uttarakhand, it said.

Kaptan Singh Solanki, the Governor of Haryana, has been transferred to Tripura.

Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy has been transferred to Meghalaya, it said.

Ganga Prasad, the Governor of Meghalaya, has been transferred to Sikkim, it said

A former minister of mines and geology of Bihar, he’s an eight-time member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly from Rajgir.

Former MP and BJP national VP, he was President Kovind's full-time successor as Bihar Governor, after the post was held by Keshari Nath Tripathi in additional charge. He was also a Union Minister of State, Parliamentary Affairs and Tourism and Lok Sabha MP from 1989 to 1990. He was also an UP- assembly MLA from 1974 to 1977.

He was elected to the Legislative Council of Bihar in 1994 and has been a member of assembly for 18 years. He was appointed Governor of Kerala on 30 September 2017.

Baby Rani Maurya has been appointed as the Governor of Uttarakhand. A very senior BJP leader from Uttar Pradesh, Baby Rani Maurya had previously held the post of Agra Mayor. She stays with her family in Agra’s Baluganj area

The new governor of Bihar was a protégé of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and famously beat erstwhile Cong leader Rita Bahugana Joshi in May 2009 in Lucknow. It was a seat held by his mentor for four consecutive terms.

Known for making controversial statements, Dr Tathagata Roy is a former professor of Construction Engineering of Jadavpur University and a staunch supporter of Hindutva. He handled the ouster of CM Kalikho Pul and swore in Pema Khandu as CM. He was WB BJP chief from 2002 to 2006.

Former Governor of Haryana, he has been transferred to Tripura. A former Rajya Sabha member, he was appointed as Governor of Haryana to replace Jagannath Pahadia in 2014.
