Narendra Modi set to return as PM, Uttar Pradesh only hurdle, says C-Voter survey
SP-BSP alliance can upset equations.

1.BJP to do well in states where they lost power recently
According to the survey, the BJP is projected to do reasonably well in the states where it lost power recently. In Chhattisgarh, the party can win 5 out of the 11 seats.In Rajasthan, BJP can win 19 out of 25 seats and 23 out of the 29 seats in Madhya Pradesh. So voters of these states seem to be firmly behind PM Modi, despite not voting for the state unit in the just concluded polls.
2.BJP to increase Eastern footprints
According to the C-Voter survey, NDA is doing pretty well in East and North East India. It is projected to win 15 out of 21 in Odisha, 9 seats in West Bengal and 35 out of 40 seats in Bihar. NDA can notch an impressive tally of 19 out of 25 Lok Sabha seats in North East according to the survey.
3.South India: BJP has Vindhya to climb
However, NDA's weakness comes to the fore in the South where it may win only 15 out of the 129 seats in the offering. DMK along with Congress is projected to do very well in Tamil Nadu. TDP is expected to fare well in Andhra Pradesh. All in all, South India may keep UPA in the game in the next polls. UPA is set to win 80 seats including an impressive performance in Kerala.
BJP will hope that TRS allies with them in case they fall short of 272.
4.Uttar Pradesh-possible gamechanger
But it is the alliance between SP and BSP which can land a solid blow to NDA's chances of getting another term. The poll suggests that NDA can win 72 seats in Uttar Pradesh if there is a four-cornered fight. But Bua Bhatija's tag team can bring NDA down to 28 and SP-BSP alliance can win 50 seats in the state. This could well be the most important factor in the elections.

5.Mixed performance for BJP predicted in Western India
In the West, BJP is projected to sweep Gujarat winning 24 of the 26 seats. However, it may do badly in Maharashtra winning only 18 out of 48 seats. So NDA led by BJP have its nose ahead at this point of time. BUt UPA at 171 is not a push-over by any strech of imagination and a SP-BSP alliance would certainly make this election a cliffhanger, if C-Voter number holds. But as of now, NDA is in pole position to form the next government in Delhi with around 100 days to go.
