Actor Yash Dasgupta, who has joined BJP, is a close friend of Bengali actress and TMC MP Nusrat Jahan.
Popular Bengali actor Yash Dasgupta on Wednesday (February 17) joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) months before West Bengal Assembly election. It is to be noted that Yash is a close friend of Bengali actress and TMC MP Nusrat Jahan.
Born on October 10, 1985, Yash started his acting career in television. Yash made his debut on the big screen \with the title role in Bengali film Gangster. The actor is well-known for his roles in Bojhena Se Bojhena and Na Aana Is Des Laado.
Yash won the Glam King title in the Unish Kuri Streax Glam Hunt held in Kolkata. He has also joined acting school and had attended an acting workshop at Roshan Taneja's acting school.
Nusrat had worked with Yash in SOS Kolkata. It is said that the friendship between the two grew stronger after working in this film.
Regarding friendship with Nusrat, Yash said that Nusrat is in TMC because she likes the ideology of the party. He added that Mimi Chakraborty, who is also her friend, is also a TMC MP.
Addressing a press conference after joining the BJP, Yash said, "BJP has always given opportunities to the youth. We all have to work for a change for the better. Today that I have joined BJP does not mean I will start saying bad things about Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. I had informed her about my decision and sought her blessings before joining the saffron camp," he said.
