More than 20 national leaders, including former prime minister H D Deve Gowda, former Union ministers Yashwant Sinha, Shatrughan Sinha and Arun Shourie; three present chief ministers Arvind Kejriwal, Chandrababu Naidu and H D Kumaraswamy; and former chief ministers Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah, Akhilesh Yadav and Gegong Apang will attend the meeting, TMC sources said. Most of them have already arrived in the city."I have met Deve Gowda-ji, Hemant-ji (Hemant Soren of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha) and Akhilesh Yadav. I will meet other Opposition leaders too," Banerjee told reporters.
FIVE STAGES IN MAMATA'S RALLY
FIRST STAGE- The main stage, which will come up in front of the fountain opposite the Victoria Memorial Hall, will accommodate senior leaders including Mamata Banerjee.
SECOND AND THIRD STAGE- there will be two stages, one for the MPs and State Government ministers and the other for the district presidents and functionaries.
FOURTH AND FIFTH STAGE- those from the cultural world and another on which cultural programmes will be held.
What's the program
1. Stage is all set for the Mahagathbandhan mega rally in Kolkata today. The rally will begin at 12noon at the Brigade Parade Grounds. Mamata Banerjee is to speak at 1pm.
2. This mega rally is significant because the TMC is trying to project Mamata Banerjee as the potential prime ministerial candidate.
3. traffic movement has been suspended on certain roads and dedicated corridors for VVIPs have been put in place.

5. Most Opposition leaders invited by Mamata Banerjee have already arrived in the city. Leaders like Akhilesh Yadav, Sharad Yadav, Sharad Pawar, Gegong Apang, Farooq Abdulaah, Hardik Patel, HD Devegowda, Kumaraswamy, Chandrababu Naidu, MK Stalin, Hardik Patel and several others.
10,000 police
As many as 10,000 police personnel will be deployed and around 400 police pickets have been set up to ensure foolproof security, police said.Policemen in plain clothes, personnel of the Rapid Action Force and Quick Response Team would be deployed at the rally venue.
Large scale preparations have been made to ensure that it is a complete success. Besides the huge stages, 20 watch towers have been erected and 1,000 microphones and 30 LED screens put up so that the spectators can see and hear the speeches of the leaders clearly.
Lakhs of TMC supporters and workers are expected to attend the rally and huge numbers of them from various corners of the state have already started pouring into the city. They have been put up in the outskirts of the city andin some auditoriums and stadiums.
