On Sunday, addressing a huge town hall at the Talkatora Stadium in Delhi and people from all parliamentary constituencies via video conferencing, PM Modi tore into the Opposition and also laid out his vision for the next five years.

He took a host of questions from across the country, targeting among others the Congress ‘ecosystem’, the ‘award wapsi’ gang, spoke about Mission Shakti and his plans for the next five years. He said India would be a trillion dollar economy by 2022.

Laying out a vision for the next five years, he said: “I've taken them (the corrupt)  to the gates of jail. In the next days, I will get sterner against corrupt. Make nation a five trillion economy.  For five years, it took me five years to fill up holes. Five years I have been working on giving foundations to fulfill promises. For the next five years, I will focus on fulfilling aspirations. To address your dreams.

The next five years will be addressing their aspirations. In 2022, every Indian will have a proper house. 75 years of experience. India will become a 5 trillion dollar economy.”

Pakistan can’t admit that Balakot air strike took place. Now they are trying to dress it up and show that it was a school: PM

We have been suffering from terrorism for the past 40 years: PM

We know who is responsible for it. I thought, till when will this go on? Then, I decided, yeh jahan se control hota hai khel wahin khela jaayega: PM Pakistan is not worried about how many people died, they are worried that world is finding out that terrorist camps were there: PM

PM Modi said: "If India had strived, we would have been a developed nation by  now. We have everything to become a developed nation.

We were number 11 economy . Last Finance Minister – who thinks he’s the brightest mind in the country – he had said in parliament that we are 11th biggest economy. I didn’t brag, but today we are number 6.

We’ve wasted too much time of India-Pakistan, forget Pakistan, it’s time to get ahead.

We are going to become one of the superpowers. We have become a space power.

We went to space and took down a satellite, it has increased our nation’s strength."

PM Modi said: “Only three nations before us have done it.  One bright politician stated that we had the capacity, do you believe him. When Russia, US and China announced, why do we need to hide? This bright person should use his commons sense. Whatever you do, the world can see. Was this going to be hidden. If you don’t do a test, how will the world believe. If this was true, why didn’t we do Pokhran I and II. We also said that this is not for an enemy state. This is for our protection. This is why Mission Shakti was such a proud moment. But because Modi is PM, that it’s under him, some people are losing their sleep. What can I do about this?”

Asked by a worker on how to tackle, Congress 'lies', he said: "Congress' lies are very seasonal. They lie based on the season and then release it and then the ecosystem picks it up. When elections were going on in Delhi, they spread news about church attacks and intolerance. Moment elections were over, intolerance was over."

He added: "In Bihar, they said Modi will remove reservations.  Their ecosystem, they asked people that Modi will remove reservations.

Then there was an Award Wapsi gang, I asked the government, what did we get back. Only see it in papers, What money did we get? No one returned money. After election they go back and sleep.  Their lies don't have much of a shelf-life, but they keep stretching it.

Taking a dig at Rahul Gandhi's minimum income guarantee :"For those who lie, the first challenge is to have a sharp memory. One day he says one number, the second day he says another and on the third another. Someone gives him the data, from the factory to produce lies, but due to a poor memory, they get caught. If their words were true, why would they need to change the numbers?"

On the Minimum Income Guarantee, he said that the Nehru-Gandhis had been promising to free India from poverty for four generations. He said: “These days people are promising the moon. Check people's track record don't believe them. The nation's first PM wanted to remove poverty. His daughter continued it, both poverty and the promises. Poverty increases as does the promises. Her son also promised.  Then his widow ran the country by remote control and promised the same thing. And now the Shehzada is here.  If four generations are saying it, should we believe them?”

Laying out a vision for the next five years, he said: “I've taken them (the corrupt)  to the gates of jail. In the next days, I will get sterner against corrupt.
