Jharkhand Panchayat Bypolls Live Results: Counting of votes for 130 seats today
Elections for 57 seats of gram panchayat members, 8 seats of mukhiyas, 20 seats of panchayat samiti members and two seats of zila parishads was held on December 19.

1.Voting for 130 seats
Elections for 57 seats of gram panchayat members, 8 seats of mukhiyas, 20 seats of panchayat samiti members and two seats of zila parishads, total 130 seats spread across the state, was held on December 19.

2.Public holiday for voting
To increase voter turnout, local administration had declared holiday in every block where polls were held, as per the directions of the state election commission.

3.Kolibera assembly bypoll
Bypoll to the Kolibera assembly seat in the state was also held on Thursday. A voter turnout of 62.89 per cent was recorded. Counting of votes will be conducted on Sunday. The bypoll was necessitated after Enos Ekka, the Jharkhand party MLA from Kolibera seat, lost his membership of the House after his conviction in a murder case.
