'Agnipath', a military recruitment programme has sparked protests by thousands of young people who wish to join the armed services.

The Indian government launched the 'Agnipath' programme earlier this week to recruit personnel for the Army, Navy, and Air Force. One of the primary reasons for implementing this plan is to reduce the average age of the military forces while also reducing the mounting pension costs.

Thousands of young men and women India, who wished to join the armed forces have taken to the streets to protest the Agnipath initiative. As a result of the demonstrations, the following events occurred:

At Kulharia railway station, near Bhojpur, a fireman attempts to put out a blaze started by protesters against the government's 'Agnipath' plan.

At Tappal in Aligarh, a bus was set on fire by protesters against the 'Agnipath' programme of the Centre government.

To remove protesters obstructing a railway track in Indore, police used lathi-charges.

At the Danapur railway station in Patna, police arrest protesters who are rallying against the "Agnipath" programme being implemented by the central government.

At Danapur Station near Patna, a crowd set fire to a Farakka Express train and railway property in protest at the "Agnipath" scheme, setting a motorcycle ablaze on the tracks.

Many trains  cancelled due to demonstrations over the government's "Agnipath" scheme and track flooding as a result of recent heavy rains at the Guwahati Railway Station.

People in Ballia are demonstrating against a programme called "Agnipath," and they have set fire to a train as part of their demonstration. 

In an act of protest against the "Agnipath" programme, demonstrators defaced property at the Danapur Railway Station, which is located close to Patna.

On the Agra-Delhi National Highway in Mathura, people gather to protest against the "Agnipath" scheme that is being implemented by the central government.
