1.261 couples tie the knot
Organised in Abrama, 261 girls, including 6 Muslims and 3 Christians, got married to their life partners on Sunday.
2.Gifts from govt
The event organisers gifted them items that were needed to start their new lives. Brides and grooms also received insurance worth Rs 2 lakh each under Pradhan Mantri Bima Yojana. They were also equipped with the marriage license.
3.Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani blessed the couples
Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani blessed the 261 couples and wished a happy married life for them. He said that the unique traditions of wedding in India make an Indian couple better than others. He also lauded the efforts of organiser Mahesh Savani, reports Bhaskar.com.
4.Daughters of society
The group of brides included 118 girls who do not have a brother or father. 54 girls were orphans.

5.Not just Gujaratis
Brides from Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan participated in the mass marriage ceremony. These couples opened their accounts in State Bank of India through which they will be able to avail the benefits of government's welfare schemes.
6.Something more for lucky ones
Organisers will pick 10 couples through a lucky draw and the winners will be gifted Singapore tour.
