2.Army Chief welcomes cycle expeditions

Over 20 cycle expeditions, drawn from the Army's infantry regiments across the country, Saturday culminated here at the India Gate, after covering more than 25,000 km over a month. Army Chief Gen. Members of different regiments engaged in several activities, ranging from raising awareness about cleanliness to 'Namami Gange' project and girl education to yoga.
"Each members of the expedition left their respective regiment at different times and covered different distances, but they all converged here," according to army. The regiments included the Para Regiment, Punjab Regiment, Madras Regiment, Rajputana Regiment, Jat Regiment, Sikh Regiment, Sikh Light Infantry, Dogra Regiment, Assam Regiment, Bihar Regiment, Jammu and Kashmir Regiment. 6.Rising Star Corps pay tribute

To commemorate the 72nd Infantry Day on Saturday, Lieutenant General Yenduru Venkata Krishna Mohan of Rising Star Corps laid a wreath at Shradhatara, the War Memorial at Yol.
Infantry Day is observed as a remembrance of the first military event of independent India, when the Indian Army repelled the first attack on the Indian soil on October 27, 1947, in the Kashmir Valley. (Image- @adgpi)
7.Salute to the martyrs

GOC, Tiger Division laid wreath at Balidan Stambh and Tiger War Memorial at Jammu to pay tributes to the Martyrs to commemorate the 72nd InfantryDay on 27 Oct 2018. A large number of Serving soldiers and Veterans were also present on the occasion. (Image- @adgpi)
