On Sunday (February 28), Home Minister Amit Shah held rallies in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry where he was welcomed by massive crowds.

The Election Commission on Friday (February 26) announced the dates of elections that will take place in four states and one Union Territory in 2021. The states include Tamil Nadu, Kerala, West Bengal, Assam and the Union Territory of Puducherry where elections are due in April-May.

On Sunday (February 28), Home Minister Amit Shah held rallies in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry where he was welcomed by massive crowds. Elections in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry will be held in a single phase on April 6, 2021. Polls are to be held for 234 seats in Tamil Nadu and 30 seats for Union Territory of Puducherry.

I urge people of Tamil Nadu to re-elect the NDA with absolute majority, so that we can further our efforts towards the development of the state, Amit Shah said at a rally in Tamil Nadu.

While calling Congress and DMK corrupt parties Home Minister Amit Shah thanked the people of Tamil Nadu for their amazing support at ‘Vijay Sankalp Rally’ in Villupuram.

“The Prime Minister has spoken about making Puducherry the BEST. The four letters- B for Business hub, E for Education Hub, S-Spiritual Hub, and T for Tourism Hub, are the foundation of Puducherry's development. Based on this, the BJP will make Puducherry the jewel of the country,” said Home Minister Amit Shah while addressing a rally in Puducherry.

“The erstwhile congress government in Puducherry was serving a family, instead of serving the people of state. Now Puducherry is all set to elect BJP led NDA government in the upcoming elections,” Amit Shah said at the rally in Puducherry.

BJP’s National General Secretary (Org), BL Santhosh, took to twitter to share a photo of the Home Minister have food at Only Coffee hotel in Tamil Nadu. “Home Minister Sri AmitShah having food at road side hotel ‘Only Coffee’ after a hectic day of activities in Puducherry & Tamilnadu,” he wrote in his tweet.
