1.Mamata meets the Gandhis

Mamata said the BJP was ‘politically nervous’. She said: “BJP is politically nervous. They know they won't come back to power in 2019. So, they are not speaking responsibly. 2.Maratha protests

Rail and road traffic in the city wasn't affected by the Maratha community protest today, an official said. Adequate security arrangements have been made in the state in view of the ongoing protests, police said. "We have lost confidence in Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and his hollow assurances of offering reservation to Maratha community," said Kedar Shinde, a protester at Azad Maidan. - PTI
3.RBI hikes key policy

The decision by the 6-member MPC, headed by RBI Governor Urjit Patel, comes amid elevated oil prices and inflation hovering around 5%. Five of the six members on the rate panel voted for a rate increase, Reuters reported. Ahead of the three-day meet, which started on Monday in Mumbai, experts were divided in their opinion if the RBI would hike the key rates. - Reuters
4.England vs India 1st Test is an even contest on Day 1

England made a solid start on day one of the first test against India as they reached 83 for one at lunch on Wednesday. In the host country's 1,000th test match, opener Keaton Jennings was dropped on nine but moved to 42 before he was dismissed by Shami.
