1.Haldibari Railway Station (West Bengal – Bangladesh)
The Mitali Express, which began commercial service in June 2022, runs between New Jalpaiguri and Dhaka, with technical halts at Haldibari (about 4.5 km from the Bangladesh border) and Chilahati (Bangladesh’s first station) for crew and locomotive changes.
2.Petrapole Railway Station (West Bengal – Bangladesh)
Petrapole is India’s busiest land‑border railway terminal, linking directly to Benapole in Bangladesh. It serves the Bandhan Express—a weekly Kolkata–Khulna service inaugurated in November 2017.
3.Kolkata (Chitpur) Railway Station – Maitree Express (West Bengal – Bangladesh)
The Maitree Express runs between Kolkata and Dhaka since 2008, symbolizing India–Bangladesh friendship.
4.Jaynagar Railway Station (Bihar – Nepal)
Jaynagar station is just about 3 km from the Nepal border and connects to Kurtha/Janakpur via the Jaynagar-Kurtha broad‑gauge line. As part of India and Nepal’s open‑border agreement, Indian and Nepali citizens can travel on this cross‑border service using valid photo ID-no passport or visa required.
