'Eid Mubarak' is phrase of the day as India marks end of Ramzan

From Srinagar to Mumbai, India is celebrating Eid.

The first day of Shawwal, end of Ramzan/Ramadan is being celebrated in India on Saturday. Muslim community offered special prayers at mosques and exchanges greetings among friends and family members. Imams of different mosques called for peace, harmony and brotherhood while extending wishes and greetings to the people.

President Ram Nath Kovind, PM Narendra Modi greeted the nation hoping that the festival deepens the bonds of harmony in the country.

Bollywood bigwigs from Shah Rukh Khan to Ajay Devgn extended warm greetings to their social media followers on the holy occasion of Eid ul-Fitr.
