1.End to admissions based on Class 12 score?
DU plans entrance exams for all undergraduate courses in 2019. No, there will be not an end to admissions based on class 12 score but it will be one eligibility criteria to get a seat in Delhi University.
2.Delhi University intends to outsource to the NTA
The DU panel also considered if the entrance exam can be outsourced to the national Testing Agency (NTA). NTA had lately taken up the responsibility of the holding the national level exams like NET and JEE from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). However, according to a committee member, "Outsourcing the test toa private agency also has its problems."
3.DU currently holds computer-based entrance exams for 9 courses
While admissions to a majority of undergraduate courses are determined through the aspirant's scores in his/her best four subjects in the Class XII exams for arts and commerce streams and best three for the sciences.
4.Best alternative to cut-off based admissions
Many experts think that best about this process is that it shall be a great alternative to the cut-off based admissions and more students will get a chance of securing a seat.
5.Roadblock to aspirants in remote areas? DU, University of Delhi, Entrance Test, Delhi University, college admissions in 2019
According to various student groups, switching to an entrance- based admission system is likely to act as a roadblock to students from the remote areas, due to short notice.
