In election rallies, PM Modi repeatedly stressed about how 'Naya India' believes in 'ghar pe ghus ke maarna', i.e India will not shy away from hitting the enemy even in their own backyard, This was in reference to the Balakot airstrike but it may have had its effect on most-wanted terrorist Dawood Ibrahim too. 

If Intelligence sources are to be believed, the result of the recent 2019 Lok Sabha elections in India has made Dawood Ibrahim, 'very afraid' and insecure. According to sources r, Ibrahim, who had hoped that the good times of the D-company will resume once again if the Modi government doesn't come to power is feeling the heat after thumping win of PM Modi. Sources claim that the underworld don expressed his concern by calling officers, both present and retired of Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI late Thursday night.

Reportedly, during this interaction, Dawood mentioned Modi's growing popularity and serious concerns about India's growing ties with countries like America and Israel.

According to retired IPS officer P K Jain, "There will be a lot of international equation changes due to the return of a strong government. The psychological pressure on Pakistan and Dawood will increase, but whether Dawood will be extradited or not, will depend on to what extent India can corner Pakistan on this issue. However, the Indian government will try hard to bring Dawood back."

According to ex-cop, the work is difficult but not impossible.

Sources said that Dawood fears Narendra Modi can do anything to catch him. He cautioned the ISI officials that Modi can execute any operation which Pakistan's intelligence might not even know about. The terrorist responsible for 1993's Mumbai's serial blasts is also wary of the troika of India, US, and Israel. He fears that Mossad and CIA may provide the necessary inputs to India. 

According to sources, ISI officials have assured Dawood that they will soon convene a meeting to address his concerns.

Modi government has tightened screws on several terrorists currently operating out of Pakistan. India's diplomacy lead to Jaish chief Azhar Masood getting international sanctions. 

Hence, it is no surprise that the likes of Dawood are apprehensive of Modi government's next step.
